Our Aims
Our aim is to create a happy, caring and co-operative school community, which celebrates learning in all different forms.
To help develop capable and confident children, with everyone trying their best to achieve their full potential.
To help foster an ethos of growth mind-set, promote personal wellbeing and offer equal opportunity for all.
A little About Our Class
As children learn in different ways we aim to teach using different styles.
We encourage children to have a responsibility for their own learning with the introduction of ‘Investigative’ challenges. These are areas where the children can choose to complete a task independently.
We give children the opportunity to work independently, as well as in pairs, groups and whole class.
At the beginning of each new term the class is asked what they would like to learn about, based on our topic, giving the children a voice. This is then used and developed when planning the week’s lessons.
Literacy, numeracy and ICT skills are developed through various tasks and activities. Well-being is also important to us to ensure that our learners develop a positive mindset, learn through mistakes and if at first they don't succeed, not to give up but to persevere and try again.
